Award-winning short-form documentary about broiler chicken cruelty (Dir. Dean Hamami, Prod. Drin Rrahmani).
I was the art director, responsible for the film's visual language and creating the backgrounds, as well as entirety of post-production.
For CLUCKED, I deliberately designed the backgrounds with a flat, monotonous perspective to reflect the mechanical, dehumanising cycle of broiler chicken production. This simpler visual approach complemented the character animation, allowing the emotional weight of the narrative—and Dean’s vision—to come through more clearly and effectively.

Below is the full film! Considering the constraints in production being between 2 of us in 3 months, I'm quite proud of what we made. Jules Itzkoff was a great inspiration for my rendering process during the BG Paint stage, adding intrigue to what would otherwise be plain and boring environments. This film also ignited my passion for postproduction, as I was responsible for tying everything together and making it cohesive, paying close attention to detail while not forgetting the bigger picture. The sound design process was also fun, finding creative solutions like playing around with bus ticket puncture sounds to convey the chickens being sliced. The postproduction process really finalised the grounded, polished feel of the film.
